Sabbatical Information

Patty began her Sabbatical on June 25th, 2018 and it will conclude on September 26th, 2018. During her absence, Pastor Shelley Illsley-Martin will take her place at the pulpit for Sunday Services. During this period if anyone any spiritual concerns or questions, please contact any of the deacons or leave a message on the church
answering machine (902-584-3634), which will be checked daily.

LUBC Clothes Closet

Clothes Closet – Is open! If you or anyone you know is in need of clothing, please check it out. Items are free of charge. If you have any items you wish to donate, please contact Marcia at 902-825-3562. Items of clothing MUST be clean, in very good condition and smoke free.

Annual Meeting

The Annual meeting of Lawrencetown United Baptist Church will be held on February 21st, 2018 with the storm date being February 28th.There will be a pot luck supper at 6:00p.m. with the meeting beginning at 7:00p.m. The supper and meeting are open to all congregation – members or non-members. We encourage and welcome everyone to stay for the meeting. Even if you are not a member we welcome your input but only members on the Voting Roll are eligible to vote on church matters.

A Reminder about Church cancellations

The decision to cancel church will be made Sunday morning by the pastor and the chair of deacons. If church is cancelled it will be posted on AVR and the deacons will proceed with the call list. If you were not contacted for the last storm, and would like to be added to the storm call list, please provide Pastor Patty with your phone number.

Advent Season 2017

DECEMBER 3rd – Hope, 1st Sunday of Advent

  • 11:00 a.m. – Hanging Of The Greens Service with Communion
  • 6:30 p.m. – Village Walk Of Hope – The Advent Prayer Walk begins at the Lawrencetown United Baptist Church

DECEMBER 9th

  • Community Christmas Party 2 – 4p.m.
    Skits and songs by the Sunday school and Youth Group with a visit from the Three Wise Men.

DECEMBER 10th - Peace, 2nd Sunday of Advent

  • 11:00 a.m. – Worship service, White Gift Sunday
    You may give to CBM Hopeful Gifts for Change, or items for the Twelve Baskets Food Bank may be brought in. These will be collected during the service.
  • 7:00 p.m. – Lawrencetown Male Choir Christmas Concert with a time of Fellowship and refreshments to follow the service.

DECEMBER 17th – Joy, 3rd Sunday of Advent

  • 11:00 a.m. – Worship service.

DECEMBER 24th– Love, 4th Sunday of Advent

  • 11:00 a.m. – Choir presentation

DECEMBER 24th – Lighting of the Christ Candle

  • 6:30 p.m. - Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
    Please come to worship with us and bring your battery-operated candles. If you do not have any candles there will be some available to use.

Soup for Seniors

The next “Soup for Seniors” is November 21th. Seniors are invited to come to the CE Hall at 12 noon for a bowl of soup, roll, dessert, coffee and tea for a free will offering.
