White Gift Sunday December13, 2015
At Christmas the Minister and Deacons choose a cause to collect for on our White Gift Sunday. This year they have chosen to support the CBM Hopeful Gifts for Change. When you give you participate in the renewal of life in a broken world. In a world broken by extreme poverty, health pandemics, civil conflict, and other global issues, you are there to respond with God’s love and compassion. Your purchase of gifts will give children and families what they need for fuller and healthier lives.
On White Gift Sunday, December 13th, during the service we will collect your gifts which you may place in envelopes which will be provided. These envelopes will be available on the table in the entry way. Just check which one you would like to support.
Patty's Bible Study
Pastor Patty’s Bible Study will begin October 25, after cup and conversation every Sunday. The book we will be looking at is titled, When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box by John Ortberg. What can we take with us to the kingdom of God? In When the Game Is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box, bestselling author, pastor, and consummate storyteller John Ortberg tells us we can take pretty much only what we brought to the game. Everything else goes back in the box the cash atop the corporate ladder, the vacation home at the lake, and the status vehicle in between. All the tokens, game pieces, and prizes are left behind when you walk away from the table. The only real "winnings" you claim and keep are your own soul and the love you have for Christ and each other. If you think you might need a better game plan one that offers an eternal perspective this strategy-filled playbook walks you through what it takes to really win big at the game of life."
Sign up Sheet is in the entryway. The book will be around $12.00.
Youth Group will resume Monday, September 28th 6:30-8:00 pm.
